What’s an Imaginate?

Imaginate began in the Spring of 2012.

Imaginate is a Rutgers University-affiliated, student-run literary magazine. We publish around five issues per academic year. Each issue contains prose, poetry, and artwork from Rutgers students and beyond. We meet Tuesdays at 9:15 PM in Room 114, Murray Hall.

We pride ourselves on accepting quality prose, poetry, and artwork from the Rutgers student body and beyond. Our house specialty is serialized stories: short stories written by club members and released in parts over the course of multiple issues. If any of these genres interests you, feel encouraged to pick up a print issue! Our print issues are available along with other magazines / newspapers at most Rutgers dining halls and student centers. Do you prefer reading on your computer or phone? We host PDF files of our issues in READ > ISSUES for your convenience.

Catch us on Facebook and Twitter for updates on when our new issues will drop. We also regularly post the Theme of the Month, submission reminders, events you can attend, and anything else Imaginate related.

If you have questions or submissions for us, send them through the contact form at the bottom of the page. If you wish to submit artwork or works with special design requests (font, structure, length, etc), please email us directly at imaginatemagazine@gmail.com.
