THE ROSE, by ANGELINA .L XIAN

I dance across a sea of faces,
there’s one thing that I see:
A rose with all her petals red,
How beautiful is she-

The rose she does not realize,
Her beauty in the scene-
That shines across the universe,
With brightness underneath.

She lies in tears in bed all night
Withering petals out of sight-
This rose is very beautiful;
Although she would not believe.

She plucks her luscious petals,
She thinks that they’re too much-
She burns her extra petals;
She can’t see why she shan’t.

The rose she tries to stay away,
From digesting anything-
This rose is very beautiful,
Although she would not believe.
